Toxins enter our bodies through the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe and the clothes we wear. There’s no way to stay completely toxin-free (unless you happen to have a Bubble Boy-style contraption at hand!) but there are a number of ways we can help eliminate as many of the harmful chemicals and compounds as possible.
One such method? Detox baths!
Not only are they super effective at helping keep our bodies toxin-free, but they’re also relaxing, rejuvenating and fun.
A couple of words of warning first. Be prepared to sweat— a lot. Which is exactly what you want to happen, since sweating is your body’s natural way of ridding itself of all those toxins. 20 minutes is plenty of time for a newbie; don’t force yourself to stay in longer if you’re miserable!
Also, be sure to drink plenty of water before and after your bath to replenish all the fluids you’ll be sweating out.
